2-hour plasma glucose (2-h PG) The 2-hour plasma glucose (2-h PG) test, also known as the oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT), is a diagnostic test for diabetes and other glucose metabolism disorders. This test measures the blood glucose levels two hours after a person has consumed a liquid containing a standardized amount of glucose. It is typically performed after an overnight fast.
